Communications Specialist
Seeking a dynamic, strategic, and creative Communications Specialist to develop and manage our organizational messaging to align with the ARC/STSA’s mission, support educators from our accredited programs, and provide informational outreach to our communities of interest.
The Communications Specialist is the lead content creator for digital and printed media — such as videos, graphics and written copy – for distribution to ARC/STSA’s communities of interest. The Communications Specialist will assist the Communications Manager with developing, promoting, implementing, and evaluating messaging for ARC/STSA.
Candidates must have exceptional media writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with digital tools – such as basic website and graphic design, email marketing and social media platforms, and video editing – is preferred.

The ARC/STSA
Since 1972, the ARC/STSA has set the gold standard for education in surgical technology and surgical assisting. The ARC/STSA is a private, non-profit accreditation services agency that provides national recognition for more than 400 higher education programs in surgical technology and surgical assisting.
ARC/STSA evaluates surgical technology and surgical assisting educational programs and makes accreditation recommendations to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Working in collaboration with the ARC/STSA, CAAHEP is the largest nationally recognized programmatic accreditor of surgical technology programs and the only nationally recognized programmatic accreditor of surgical assisting programs.
The mission of the ARC/STSA is to provide accreditation services to our communities of interest that validate excellence of educational programs in order to advance the professions and ensure quality patient care.
