The ARC/STSA will mail complimentary hard copies of the CCST, seventh edition, to each program director of CAAHEP-accredited and initial applicant surgical technology programs (1 per program) in early 2022. In the meantime, please see Standards & Curricula page under the Accreditation tab of the ARC/STSA website to access a digital copy of the corrected version of the CCST, 7e.
The ARC/STSA has established January 1, 2024, as the date for full implementation of the CCST-7e. ST programs must be utilizing the CCST-7e, in its entirety after this date. Curriculum can be assessed for compliance with the Standards utilizing the Core Curriculum for Surgical Technology, sixth edition or seventh edition, up to December 31, 2023.
